Cite speak at Fame 2008

Cite were pleased to attend De Montfort University’s Fame 2008 exhibition yesterday. This is the third time we have attended and were delighted to be invited to speak to packed lecture hall about careers within the web design industry, both in Leicester and beyond.

rg+p client extranet launched

We launched the latest addition to the celebrated rg+p web site this week. The client extranet provides an online facility for all members of an architectural team (both internal and external) to upload project material for review and comment. The system presents an invaluable listing of revisions for drawings, elevations and other information thus ensuring that all parties are referencing the correct version (as well as reducing the number of large files clogging up company in-boxes!).

Clever flash

It’s amazing what can be done with flash these days, check out this for example – I’ve no idea who actually made it or their purpose, but you can imagine something like this in years to come, doing much more than looking around. Next step for virtual customer support anyone?

Grand central vision

As mentioned a few posts ago Google is keen to expand it’s scope into new markets such as mobile, instant messaging etc. many companies do, but what Google does best is bring it all nicely together in a way that’s actually useful to the consumer.

In the same vein as it’s mobile forays, Google has aquired GrandCentral which is a phone unifier allowing you to have one number (for life they claim) through which you can route all your phones; landlines, mobiles and voice messaging.

I’m ill, I have the Newton Virus (or at least I want it)….

The creative minds at Troika have created an amazing workplace distraction, well for the Mac at least. The Newton Virus comes on a cute USB device and creates a wonderful (not always desired) distraction.
