15 years of the web?

According to MSN news the World Wide Web is 15 today, but the BBC dates this anniversary as far back as the 5th of August 2006. Windows communication foundation recognises the release of the first web browser celebrating its 15 years on the April 22, 1993. However today is the anniversary of when web technology and the code that makes the internet works became free for anyone to use and improve from it’s original concept, and this is the one most of us associate with the internet we use today.

XP sp3

Microsoft have released WindowsXP service pack 3 to manufacturers which means that it’s on the way for business and home users.

This represents the last of the major XP updates from MS as they seek to push users on to the Vista operating system that has been beset with the usual “teething problems” and has recieved a luke warm welcome generally.

The update should be available to the general public on April 29th through windows update etc. but may not been seen in any shops as MS have decided to stop installing XP on new systems from June this year.
